Atos Team

Formed by Andre Galvao and Ramon Lemos in 2008, Atos is made up of some of the most decorated and dynamic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Competitors today. Andre Galvao and Ramon Lemos both felt that after having shared their passion and knowledge in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and helped to form the game of some of the top BJJ players on the mats like the Mendes Brothers, and “Durinho” Burns as well as working with some of the top MMA fighters in the ring such as UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and “Minotauro” it was time to start a team of their own. Atos was formed by these two friends who shared the same religious beliefs, and passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. They decided to name their team Atos meaning “acts” in reference to “The Book of Acts”; and based on the belief that “God can do amazing things through ordinary people when He empowers them through His Spirit.”

With Ramon taking a lead in teaching and imparting his knowledge, it has been Andre who has taken the lead in training and competition. His competition record 3x World Champion at Black Belt, 3x ADCC Champion(Weight and Absolute), World Pro Cup Champion, and aggressive style has served as inspiration for the team.

The Atos fighters have continually been on the cutting edge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and continue to revolutionize the game because of the mindset, focus to detail, and hard work put in place by both Andre Galvao and Ramon Lemos. Their stamina and training is legendary, and they are constantly creating or perfecting moves that not only dominate the competition but always keep them a step ahead. From the established Black belt Mundial and Abu Dhabi champions, to the stable of up and comers, they have been able to come from seemingly nowhere and taken over the Jiu Jitsu World.
